Thread Starter pfelectronicstech Joined Jan 18, I'm doing another experiment in my program, and I'm supposed to wire a IC but I can't find that in my components.
I could have just missed placed it, but I do have a IC Can that be used instead or its a completely different component with a complete different result from that?

Thanks guys I finally found it. My school sent me so many different IC chips and components its sometimes tough to find exactly what you are looking for. This part of the program is very, very interesting. Its just good to get your hands on all these components. It takes the theory you learned, and turns it into color. Thanks for the help again.

The original series integrated circuits were made by Texas Instruments with the prefix "SN" to create the name SN74xx. Due to the popularity of these parts, other manufacturers released pin-to-pin compatible logic devices which kept the sequence number as an aid to identification of compatible parts. However, different manufacturers use different prefixes or no prefix at all.
Some TTL logic parts were made with an extended military-specification temperature range. These parts are prefixed with 54 instead of 74 in the part number.
